Fast Fiction Challenge 2009: They're back
OK, it's been long enough, I've pretty much done all of the challenges I previous had (a few left, below) and despite the book - about which more in a moment - I'm mad enough to do this again...so the Fast Fiction Challenge is back.
I've done this now for the past four years, and gotten some superb challenges and hopefully some equally superb stories. I've still got eight to complete from the most recent set of challenges:
A reminder of the challenge:
Didn't expect me not to plug the book, did you?
The Fast Fiction Challenge has now been collected in print and can be purchased through lulu.com.
180 of the best stories from the first three years.
The more challenges I get, the more stories you'll get, folks. Feel free to hype this to anyone and everyone on blogs, mailing lists, emails, whatever. Non LJ members can either post the suggestions using LJ's "anonymous post" thing (but please ask them to remember to identify themselves so I can let them know it's been done!) or email me on budgie at hypotheticals dot co dot uk.

Reply with a title (maximum of four words) about which you'd like me to write a fast fiction of exactly 200 words, together with a single word you want me to include in the text of the tale.
(Completely daft suggestions will be ignored, so no suggestions of "antidisestablishmentarianism" along with a title of "sex lives of cornflakes".)
I'll aim to do one every couple of days, but no promises.
OK, go.
